History

Hassania Union Sport d’Agadir was founded by patriots opposing French colonialism. The team’s founding fathers, including Ahmed Kabbage and Hassan Oulhaj Akhannouch, chose the colors red and white to express their Moroccan identity. Despite challenges, the club persisted, qualifying for the first division in the 1958/1959 season. Tragedy struck in 1960 when an earthquake claimed the lives of some players, but the team restructured and reached the Throne Cup final in 19631.
