History

At the dawn of Moroccan independence (1955–1956), Al-Ittihad Meknes was dissolved to pave the way for the young Rashad Club of Meknes. Unfortunately, Rashad couldn’t hold its ground in the top division among adults, leading to a sports crisis in Ismailia. To address this, officials merged Meknes Olympique Club, Rashad, and Al Difaa from Beni Mohamed (a brilliant third-division team). However, this solution fell short of the desired outcome. CODM Meknès was officially formed on June 21, 1962, spanning not only football but also water polo, basketball, volleyball, and handball2.
