Nasarawa United

Nasarawa United FC, founded in 2003, hails from Lafia, Nasarawa State. They compete in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and play their home matches at the Lafia Township Stadium.

Brief History:

• The team emerged after the Nasarawa government took over Black Stars FC of Gombe.
• Nasarawa United joined the NPFL in the 2004–05 season.
• Their stadium, the Lafia Township Stadium, has a capacity of approximately 5,000.
• The club’s nickname is Solid Miners.

• Professional Second Division Title (2004): Nasarawa United clinched the championship.
