Katsina United FC, founded in 1994, hails from the town of Katsina in Katsina State. Their journey has been marked by resilience, revival, and a commitment to local talent development.

Brief History:

In 1997, Katsina United earned promotion to the Nigerian Premier League, debuting with a respectable 12th-place finish. Unfortunately, they were disbanded after relegation in 2001.
The Katsina State Government initiated plans to revive the team in 2008. In 2009, they reemerged as “Spotlights FC” in the Nigeria National League.
In 2016, the team reclaimed its original name, Katsina United, and secured promotion back to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after a 15-year hiatus.
