Former SWAN deputy president, Moyoyo takes a bow, reaffirms commitment to sports journalism

The immediate past deputy president of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, comrade Abubakar Sadiq Moyoyo has reaffirmed his commitment to the practice of journalism
The veteran sports journalist, who pulled out of service , after his completion of the mandatory period of service to fatherland.
Moyoyo as he is fondly called has epressed his joy and staifiaction, for the camremderie he enjouyed throughout his years a a sports writer.
The one time SWAN presidential candidate, who holds the revered traditional title of Dallatun Bantaje in a missive written to the leadership of SWAN Taraba state chapter, said “I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Taraba State Chapter for the wonderful reception organized in my honor, marking my retirement from civil service. The love and appreciation shown to me by the association will forever be etched in my memory.
“As the former Deputy President of SWAN, I am proud to have been part of this noble association. I want to assure you that I will remain a bonafide member of SWAN for life. My wealth of experience will always be available to the association whenever it is required.
“I extend my special thanks to Chairman Sani Sulaiman, members of his team, the Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and other members who attended the reception. I also appreciate the presence of members of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Taraba State Chapter and other journalists who honored me with their presence.
“I also want to commend the national Secretariat of SWAN under the leadership of Mr. Isaiah Benjamin for its efforts in uniting members across the country. The association has become a formidable force in Nigerian sports journalism.
“As I retire from civil service, I want to assure you that I will remain a journalist for life. My passion for sports journalism remains unwavering, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the profession.
