King Charles praises Nigerian footballers for their contributions to EPL

King Charles last Wednesday has praised the enviable contributions of Nigerian footballers to the most prestigious club soccer competition on the globe, the English Premier league. EPL.
The highly revered monarch made the commendation, in his remarks, when he hosted Nigeria’s president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to state banquet at the Windsor Castle.

King Charles who praised Nigerians for their positive impact in all fields of human endeavor in the UK had referred to the visible meaningful contributory roles Nigerians are playing in the EPL.
He said “From Afrobeats filling our concert halls and Nollywood captivating our screens, to stars competing in our Premier League and adjudicating our highest courts, so much of Britain’s culture is, in truth, profoundly enriched by Nigeria.”
The royal father then described Nigerians in the UK as “quiet heroes” adding that the duo nations share what he said is an “ living bridge”
Sahel sports news reports that, host of Nigerian players had left their marks in the EPL, prominent amongst them are, Nwankwo Kanu, Jay-Jay Okocha, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, and John Obi Mikel, they were on parade for clubs like Arsenal, Bolton, and Chelsea.
Other top performers in the EPL brands are Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi, Joseph Yobo, and Wilfred Ndidi.
