Manchester City breaks revenue records hits £715m for 2023/24
Premier League champions Manchester City have reported record revenue of £715m in the club’s annual report for 2023/24.
This marks a £2.2m increase on last year’s figure of £712.8m, with this being the third successive year in which City have generated record revenue.
City made a profit of £73.8m for 2023/24, which is down slightly from £80.4m in last year’s Treble-winning season.
City became the first club to win four consecutive Premier League titles earlier this year.
Over the last year, commercial revenue rose from £341.4m to £344.7m, while the club’s matchday income increased from £71.9m to £75.6m.
Although broadcast revenue was down from £299.4m to £294.7m, City were the world’s most-watched football club over the last year, drawing 694 million viewers across all competitions.
The Citizens have the most valuable brand of any club, after seeing their brand value increase by 7% over the last year to reach €1.6bn (£1.33bn) according to the Brand Finance Football 50 Report, which was published earlier this year.
“Our fourth consecutive Premier League title was an achievement that took Manchester City to a place no other English club has ever been,” said Ferran Soriano, CEO at Manchester City.
“We understand very well that the relentless pursuit of beautiful football, operational excellence, and constant innovation requires hard work and resilience.”
Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Chairman of Manchester City, added, “Our constant ambition to target and achieve the unprecedented is a mark of the organisation that we have become.
“On and off the field, our passion for the next challenge is underpinned by deliberate and detailed planning and a shared belief in the collaborative learning culture that we have built.”
