Burkina Faso

The Burkina Faso national football team, also known as “Les Étalons” (The Stallions) or “Les faucons pèlerins” (The Peregrine Falcons), represents Burkina Faso in men’s international football. Controlled by the Burkinabé Football Federation, they were previously known as the Upper Volta national football team until 1984 when Upper Volta became Burkina Faso. Their best-ever finish in the Africa Cup of Nations was as runners-up in the 2013 edition. Notably, they reached the semi-finals when hosting the tournament in 1998. The team has a rich history and continues to compete on the African football stage.
