Cibao FC and Cavalier FC to face off in 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup Final

Concacaf has confirmed the schedule and venues for the Final of the 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup. The two-legged Final between Cibao FC (DOM) and Cavalier FC (JAM) is scheduled for November 26 (first leg) and December 3 (second leg) in Kingston, Jamaica, and Santiago, Dominican Republic, respectively.

Cibao FC has advanced to the Final and qualified for next year’s Concacaf Champions Cup after securing a 1-0 victory against Real Hope FA in the second leg of their Semifinal series, resulting in a 4-2 aggregate score. Prior to reaching the Semifinals, the Dominican club finished in first place in Group B with a record of 3-1-0.

Cavalier FC, the 2023 Caribbean Cup runners-up, sealed a return to the Caribbean Cup Final and the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup with a dominant 7-0 win over Moca FC in their Semifinal series (7-0 on aggregate). The Jamaican club also finished top of their group (Group A), with three wins and a loss.

The two losing Semifinalists, Real Hope FA (HAI) and Moca FC (DOM), have moved on to a Third-Place series to determine the third Caribbean club to participate in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup. These matches are scheduled for November 26 (first leg) and December 3 (second leg) in the Dominican Republic.

Fans will be able to enjoy the 2024 Concacaf Central American Cup Final through the Confederation’s TV partner networks, including FOX Sports (USA-English), Fox (Mexico-Spanish), and ESPN | Star+ (Central America, Caribbean, and South America), and Concacaf’s YouTube channel (subject to territory restrictions).

According to the competition regulations, to determine the host for the second-legs, Concacaf has ranked the clubs based on the total number of points they have accumulated in the competition, with the highest-ranked club hosting the all-decisive second-leg matches. After the Semifinal results, the rankings are as follows (also available here):

1. Cibao FC (16 pts, +7 GD)
2. Cavalier FC (13 pts, +14 GD)
3. Moca FC (11 pts, -3 GD)
4. Real Hope FA (8 pts, +1 GD)

The winner of this annual competition will be crowned as the Caribbean club champion and will secure a bye to the 2025 Champions Cup Round of 16. The runner-up and Third-Place will also qualify for next year’s Champions Cup and begin play in Round One.

The 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup – the 60th edition of the competition, is shaping up to be historic, as some of the region’s top teams have already secured a berth. The competition will start with Round One in February, followed by the Round of 16 in March, the Quarterfinals and Semifinals in April, and the single-leg Final on Sunday, June 1.
