NPFL caution clubs against match disruptions vow to invoke stiff penalties
Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL has averred that stiff penalties awaits cubs that are caught in the act of match disruption.
The league made the averments in a letter dated 14th Septmeber2024, signed by its Chief Operating Officer, COO, Davidson Owumi made available to section of the Nigerian sporting press .
Owumi reminded the clubs that it is their responsibility to make provision for adequate security during their home games.
He further said, the home clubs shoulder the burden of ensuring the security of the visiting players, officials, and their fans, prior, during and after their home matches.
“any team that allow disruptions, breaches, , security lapses under any guise or circumstances will face appropriate sanctions as stipulated in the NPFL rules.” NPFL stated.
