Nigerian Professional Football Players set to flag off community development initiatives in 17 states
Nigerian professional football players under the aegis of National Association of Nigeria Professional Football Players, NANPF have rolled out plans to commence its NANPF/CFF Community Football Development Initiative.
The association said the initiative will debut with the hosting of its NANPF/CFF Community Cup Football Tournament that would be hosted in 17 States across Nigeria.
Adding that the Community Football Tournament has been designed to create the culture of football density within grassroots football strata.
NANPF stated that the project is geared towards the establishment of Community/membership Association Ownership Football clubs that would have firm roots in local governments.
The body said that NANPF/CFF Community Football Development Initiative would serve as the most veritable platform for the players union to create greater opportunity for the productive engagement of upcoming Professional Footballers and ex -members, who are trained as coaches and administrators.
In words “The tournament will kick start in all the local government council areas in 17 States of Nigeria under the supervision of NANPF States, Administrative Secretaries, Assistants and appointed NANPF and CFF coordinators in the concerned local government council areas.
“The unveiling of the tournament logo and the official union Jersey for players will hold simultaneously in Lagos very soon.”NANPF said.
