Ghana Football Association  moves to train  900 grass root football  coaches

Ghana football governing body has commenced the process  of training  900 football coaches within the time frame of the  next   three years.

The association initiated the moves to rectify fundamental issue surrounding the practice of  football coaching in Ghana.

GFA President, Kurl  Edwin Simeon Okraku   enjoined Ghanaian coaches to embark on rigorous search for football knowledge by utilizing social media tools to enhance their professional football  coaching skills..

He said 270 more coaches will be trained in 2024 alone, extending to the period  of three years

Speaking through a representative at the Ghana Football  Association, GFA five days  free D license  football coaching course held in the Ashanti region , he hailed the resilience  of  Ghana coaches.

The association revealed that the course is part of its strategic plans to enhance grass root football coaching in the west African country.

30 coaches drawn from juvenile football clubs from the region  took part in the  first batch of the hybrid training programme,.
