Nigeria plans to spend N78 billion on sports capital projects in 2025

The Federal Government of Nigeria has proposed to spend N78 billion on sports capital project in the year 2025, National Sports Commission, NSC has revealed.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the national budget presented to the National Assembly on December 18, 2024 had proposed that FG would expend N78 billion as capital .
The proposed sports spending in 2025 have been described by the commission as “unprecedented”.
The budget would be targeted at funding critical infrastructures and the execution of development programs.
The budget would accommodate the establishment of an Anti-Doping Laboratory, which is expected to generate substantial revenue in foreign exchange.
