FIFA Council: President Tinubu endorse Amaju Pinnick re-election race

Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has endorsed the bid by former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Amaju Pinnick’s re-election bid to return as a member of the FIFA Council.
The FIFA council is the main decision making body of the world football governing body.
The special adviser to Nigeria’s president on media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale announced the presidential backing for Amaju’s pursuit for a return to the council.
The presidential spokesman stressed that, Nigeria needs to retain the seat.
Reacting to the endorsement by Nigeria’s president, Amaju described the support as been massive.
Amaju speaking on a television breakfast show on Arise television said the endorsement sends a strong signal to his supposed opponent, who are also vying for the seat.
The former NFF honcho , who thanked the Nigerian government for the support , disclosed that , in efforts to retain the seat , he will take his re-election campaign to over 40 countries to further solicit for support.
The Nigeria Football Federation , NFF has also endorsed Amaju Pinnick to vye for another term in the council.
