Chad

The Chad national football team, also known as Les Sao, is the national team of Chad and is controlled by the Chadian Football Federation. They have faced challenges in developing a strong football program compared to some of their African counterparts.

History:

• The Chadian Football Federation was founded in 1962 and became affiliated with FIFA and CAF in 1988.
• Chad’s national team played their first qualifying matches for the 1992 Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by Senegal.
• Despite not qualifying for the World Cup or Africa Cup of Nations, they continue to compete in international matches.
• In April 2021, FIFA banned Chad from global football due to government interference with the Chadian Football Federation (Wikipedia).
