Morocco withdraws from hosting African football competitions
The President of Morocco’s Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, has disclosed that the north African nation has seized from presenting the biddings to host African football competitions.
In his word “Starting today, Morocco will no longer submit any bids to host African competitions, regardless of their nature. If other countries wish to organize them, we wish them the best,”
Lekjaa speaking in an interview with Al Jazeera 360 via Morocco World News lamented that Morocco was victim of hate campaign during the AFCON final against Senegal earlier on January 18.
He dismissed the label of privileges or advantages been tagged on Morocco.
He claimed that Morocco hosted the most successful tournament in CAF history, declaring that Morocco would no longer bid for the hosting of any continental tournament
