Lawyer drags NFF to Transparency International Over Alleged Misappropriation of FG and FIFA Funds

A private legal practitioner has prayed Transparency International, TP to launch investigations into the alleged cases of financial misappropriation been levied against Nigeria Football Federation. NFF.
The legal practitioner, (Justice Castle )Alhaji Ibrahim, Esq in a letter addressed to the globally renown anti corruption civil organization have prayed for an independent inquiry into NFF financial dealings from 2015 to 2025.
He urged the body to exert pressure on FIFA to exercise its oversight functions on the funds disbursed to the federation within the period .
The lawyer further urged Transparency international to include its findings into its sectoral report for West Africa.
The petitioned sent to Transparency International headquarters in Berlin, informed the august body that there are red flags on the pattern of spendings that were carried out by the federation top officials .
He alleged that there were flagrant violations of FIFA financial regulations that took place in the federation.
According to him, lack of oversight functions by financial regulatory authorities have continued to permit for financial recklessness in the financial system been operated by the federation.
