Mexico to host 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup Final Match on May 30
Concacaf has confirmed that the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup Final will be played on Saturday, May 30 at 7 p.m. ET (5 p.m. local).
The culmination of this edition of the region’s premier men’s club competition will see Deportivo Toluca FC host Tigres UANL at Estadio Nemesio Díez.
The winner of the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup will be crowned as regional club champions and secure qualification for the next edition of the FIFA Club World Cup in 2029, as well as the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2026. The FIFA Club World Cup berth represents one of four slots allocated to Concacaf, with 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup winners Cruz Azul already occupying one of those positions.
Deportivo Toluca FC reached the Final with a come-from-behind victory over Los Angeles FC, securing the result by an aggregate score of 5-2 after a second-leg win at home. Prior to that result, Toluca defeated the LA Galaxy in the Quarterfinals and Champions Cup newcomers San Diego FC in the Round of 16. Toluca has two previous Champions Cup titles to its name, winning the tournament in 1968 and 2003.
Tigres UANL is aiming for its second Concacaf Champions Cup title – winning its first in 2020 – after reaching the Final with a 2-0 win on aggregate over Nashville SC in the Semifinals. The Mexican side’s path to the Final saw it take down a pair of MLS sides – Seattle Sounders in the Quarterfinals and FC Cincinnati in the Round of 16 – and a Canadian Premier League side Forge FC in Round One.
In accordance with the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup regulations, the host for the single-leg Final has been decided based on the tournament’s cumulative standings table (excluding Round One), with the highest-ranked club hosting the match. After the Semifinals, the cumulative table stands as follows:
Deportivo Toluca FC (12pts, +11gd)
Tigres UANL (12pts, +3gd)
Fans will be able to follow the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup Final through the Confederation’s TV partner networks, including FOX Sports (USA – English), TelevisaUnivision (USA – Spanish), FOX Mexico (Mexico), OneSoccer (Canada), ESPN | Disney+ (Central America, Caribbean, and South America), and the Concacaf Official Platforms for all other territories (subject to territory restrictions).
