NSF South West Closed Scrabble Tournament Begins in Ile Ife
Nigeria Scrabble Federation South West zone Closed Tournament will commence today Saturday in Ile Ife, Osun state.
The tourney, which is restricted to club members and students from the zone is expected to deliver exciting moments .
The title holder, Ayedun , who survived the onslaught by African champion Oluwatimilehin Doko is amongst the favorites , alongside Abdulmumin Jimoh.
Erstwhile champion and national captain Cyril Umebiye from Ogun state would also be in contention for the title.
South West Coordinator , Dipo Akanbi expressed delight over the quality of top contender on the chase for the title .
He said that the contest would assist in putting the athletes in good shape ahead of the national and Africa Scrabble Championship that would be staged in the later part of 2026.
