NNL: NFF Sanctions Yobe Desert Stars, Awards Three Points to Jigawa Golden Stars
The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has imposed sanctions on NNL campaigners , Yobe Desert Stars fc for breaching the laws regulating the league.
The Yobe side have been penalized for fielding an ineligible player, Shedrach John, during their league clash against Jigawa Golden Stars FC
The verdict passed by the NFF disciplinary committee was following the petition filed by Jigawa Golden Stars protesting against the fielding of an ineligible player by the opponent, Yobe Desert Stars fc.
Jigawa protested that Shedrack John of Yobe Desert Stars FC with Jersey number 2 had received three yellow cards .
The petitioners said the NNL Disciplinary Committee erred in their decision by not awarding 3 goals and 3 points in their favor , following an initial protest lodged with the league body over the matter .

NFF in its rulings held that the protest by Jigawa Golden Stars FC succeeds, adding that the decisions of the NNL Disciplinary Committee is hereby set aside.
The verdict said “ That 3 points and 3 goals is hereby awarded to Jigawa Golden Stars FC. That the above decisions are without prejudice to the right of appeal.”
