NPFL MD 24: Wikki Tourist laments 1-1 draw result against Nassarawa United in Bauchi

Wikki Tourist football club has bemoan their 1-1 draw Match Day 24 home result against visiting Nasarawa United at the Tafawa Balewa stadium.
Reacting to the outcome of the match, the Assistant Coach of Wikki Tourists FC, Bashir Saleh, who lamented over the outcome of the match, however pledged that the technical crew would proceed to make the necessary corrections ahead of their subsequent fixtures.
Saleh further lamen ted that the team’s persistent failure to convert penalty kick is worrisome assuring that efforts would be intensified to improve penalty-taking in their training sessions.
Nasarawa United FC had held hosts Wikki Tourists FC to a 1–1 draw in the Nigeria Premier Football League Match Day 24 clash played last Sunday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.
The encounter kicked off at 4:00 p.m, with both teams displaying strong attacking intent in the first half.
Nasarawa United took the lead in the 27th minute when jersey number 29 struck from the centre of the field to beat the Wikki Tourists goalkeeper.
The home side responded swiftly, as Wikki Tourists equalised just eight minutes through Jonathan Joshua, jersey no 22, when he fired through powerful shot from a tight angle in the 35th minute to restore parity to the excitement of the home fans.
Both teams returned for the second half with renewed determination, creating several scoring opportunities, but failing to convert their created chances.
Wikki Tourists were handed a golden opportunity to take the lead in the 75th minute after a defensive error by the Nasarawa United captain resulted in an penalty.
