Atlas Lions of Morocco crashes Super Eagles AFCON 25 trophy chase

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were on Wednesday defeated by host side, Lions of Morocco in the semi final stages of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Nigerians were sent out after a penalty shootout , following a goalless draw after regulation time stretching the encounter to extra time.
The match was closely contested from start to finish, with both sides showing discipline, structure, and determination.
Nigeria created promising chances, the Moroccans remained compact and relied on quick transitions. Despite the intensity and effort from both teams, neither side was able to find the breakthrough, forcing the encounter into extra time.
Extra time produced more tension than clear opportunities, as fatigue set in and both teams remained cautious. With the scoreline unchanged after 120 minutes, the semi-final was decided by penalties.
In the shootout, Samuel Chukwueze and Bruno Onyemaechi missed their penalties for Nigeria, allowing Morocco to edge the Super Eagles to secure their place in the final.
