Arising from the recently concluded Sahel Sports News FIFA World Cup 2026 Media Meeting held in collaboration with the Kano State Library Board, and powered by Fortress Centre for Human Rights and Peace Advocacy (FOCHPA) and Peace Initiative Network (PIN) under the theme “Building Peace Through Sports the news editor of Sahel Sports News, Abdulgafar Oladimeji , has arrived in Washington DC, USA, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final Draw.
The high-level stakeholders’ meeting in Kano emphasized the crucial role journalists play in promoting peace, unity, and social development through sports.
Participants at the vent held at the Kano Library Complex had collectively called on the media to continue amplify positive narratives as Nigerians despite the absence of the Super Eagles prepares for the global football event.
