KACCIMA , PIN, Pop Cola, CIHRM bags SWAN diamond national honour’s for sports development
Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN has conferred its diamond national honour’s on corporate and non governmental organizations that have contributed to national sports development in Nigeria .
The award bestowed on the awardees is part of the activities marking 60 years , since the existence of the umbrella body of Nigerian sports journalists fraternity.
Our correspondent reports that , the award beneficiaries are, Kano Chamber of Commerce Industries, Mines and Agriculture, KACCIMA, Peace Initiative Network, PIN, Pop Cola beverage company and the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, CIHRM.
The secretary general , SWAN, Ikenna Okonkwo said the award conferred on the various organizations is in recognition of their contributions to sports development.
According to him, the awardees were renown for their contributions to sports human resource development, grass root competitions and human development using sports as the vehicle to drive various national development initiatives.
The SWAN diamond award ceremony was staged at MKO Abiola stadium, FCT Abuja, on 31st October 2025.
