Gambia Football Federation Sets Up Annual Football Excellence Awards Committee
The Gambia Football Federation GFF has set up the GFF Awards Night Committee to recognize excellence performance in Gambian football .
The inaugural ceremony which was staged at the Football House located in Kanifing had GFF President, Lamin Kaba Bajo, presiding over the inauguration ceremony saying “I extend my sincere congratulations and profound gratitude to each member for accepting this crucial national assignment,”
He further said “This committee embodies a remarkable diversity of talent and expertise, with every individual bringing invaluable skills to the table. I particularly commend our First Vice President, Mr. Bakary K. Jammeh, for his vibrant knowledge and expertise in such areas. Our clear mandate is to ensure these end-of-season football awards not only become an annual tradition but also set a new benchmark for recognizing excellence in Gambian football.”
The chairman of the committee , Bakary K. Jammeh said “My team and I are committed to working assiduously and expeditiously to ensure the resounding success of this event. We are excited about the prospect of celebrating the achievements within our football community, and we will commence our work without delay to achieve our set goals.”
The committee is expected to propose the month, date, time and venue for the awards and to design and develop a framework that would encompass how to mobilize resources for the successful conduct of the awards ceremony annually.
