Nigerian born women’s football good girl, Onome Ebi bids the game goodbye
Super falcons veteran, Onome Ebi has retired from active football.
The well travelled soccer star took to her social media handle to announce an end to her over two decades sojourn on the national and international football arena.
Onome said “Today, I officially retire from professional football. The journey has been filled with challenges, victories, and lessons that shaped me into who I am today. Though I hang up my boots, my purpose in the game continues — to give back, to guide, and to be a voice for players across Africa and beyond. Thank you PlayersAdvocate”
The gracious player , After 24 years of active football career with the Super Falcons has quit the stage at the age of 42.
Onome to her credit did set the following records, 4X Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. 2X Turkish Women Football League. 2X Belarusian Women’s Super Cup. 1X Belarusian Premier League. 1X Belarusian Women’s Cup: 2014. IFFHS CAF Women’s Team of the Decade 2011-2020
