Controversy: Nigeria’s new coach, Bruno Labbadia “rejects” job offer “decides against a contract”
The new gaffer for the Super Eagles that was announced by the Nigeria football Federation,( NFF) Bruno Labbadia may not resume his assignments as Nigeria’s senior national team head coach.
The German born tactician and the federation is reported to have failed to reached a conclusive agreement with his potential employers on issues bordering around grey areas.
German reputed publication, Kicker.de, Friday evening reported that talks between NFF and Bruno may have collapsed.
The publication stated that , Bruno “decided against a contract.”
Adding that they had reached an agreement on financial issues, while organizational issues relating to the contractual terms were yet to be settled.
Labbadia is alleged to have been furious by the rush on the part of NFF to go public with the announcement of his signing as Nigeria’s new coach, while their were issues that were yet to be cleared out.
Kicker.de reported that the German coach was yet to put pen to paper, while early in the week NFF rushed to the public with the announcement of Bruno as the new senior national team coach.
As at the time of filling this report, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF is yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
