Germany to host 2025 World University Games
An outstanding summer of sport awaits North Rhine-Westphalia from 16 to 27 July 2025, as the RUHR GAMES 25 will join the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games.
The RUHR GAMES 25 will take place from 17 to 20 July 2025 in Bochum as part of the world’s largest multi-sport event of the year 2025, whose core athletic target group largely coincides with that of the RUHR GAMES.
After five successful editions, this multi-faceted festival has become an established fixture in the sporting state of North Rhine-Westphalia as an innovative format.
For the first time, the RUHR GAMES will therefore not be holding any competitive sports competitions, but will enrich the programme of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games with a mix of demo competitions in action sports and new Olympic disciplines as well as live music, culture and international youth encounters.
