Nigeria, South Africa at war over FIFA world cup ticket , clash set for September 9

The Super Eagles of Nigeria would travel to South Africa to face arch rivals Bafana Bafana in the chase for the US, FIFA 2026 world cup ticket in group C.
The world cup ticket qualifying match has been fixed for Tuesday, September 9 at the iconic Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.
The MD 8 encounter is crucial for both sides as South Africa seats on top of group C with 13 points, Nigeria occupies 4th position on 7 points.
The match would be hosted at the 46,000-capacity facility.
Before travelling to South Africa, the Super Eagles will play host to the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, September 6.
The Super Eagles are in a tight corner, as they are stared with a must win situation to keep the world cup ticket hopes of over 200 millions fans alive.
Nigeria had failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
