Moses Andishu/YSFON U17: Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina set up semi final clash
Four states have set up place in the semi final clash in the ongoing first edition of the Moses Andishu/YSFON U 17 football tournament taking place in Kaduna.
Jigawa who suffered 6-5 defeat to host Kaduna in the opening game had managed to stage a come back to book a place in the semi finals.
Kaduna mauled their group opponents handsomely to berth in the knock out stage.
Katsina had a jolly ride against Kano and Kaduna B to poach their semi final ticket.
According to the final pairings released by the Local Organizing Committee, LOC, Jigawa will trade tackles against Katsina, Kaduna A will file out against Kaduna B.
The semi final matches have been slated for Saturday 29th August 2025, at Muritala Square , kick off time is 9am.
The organizers explained that, the north west zone comprises of seven states, the host is usually given the privilege to produce two teams to balance the pairings for the eights teams needed to balance the groups.
YSFON Technical Director, Abdulgafar Agboola disclosed that the tournament has been hitch free, adding that, Friday has been declared rest day to enable the teams recuperate and also for those that have advanced to the next stage to reorganize to confront the task ahead.
