Football: Cote d’Ivoire beat Nigeria to lift WAFU U-20 boys trophy
The Young Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire pip Flying Eagles of Nigeria 1-0 to lift the 2025 WAFU B U20 Boys Tournament trophy.
The final of the tournament was played last Wednesday in Accra, Ghana .
The Young Elephants had submerged Burkina Faso 2-1 in their first match, conquered Niger Republic and Togo with 1-0 and 2-0 at the group stage matches.
The went ahead to defeat neighbors and host nation Ghana 2-1 in the semi finals.
They clinched the regional title , beating Seven-time African champions ,Nigeria, 1-0 in the final.
