How Morocco made moves to stop Super Falcons from lifting the 10th WAFCON trophy
Morocco had filed a petition to CAF raising issues over the eligibility status of two players in the Nigerian women’s team .
The petitioners alleged that the duo of Ashleigh Plumptre and Michelle Alozie were born outside Nigeria.
The northern African host of the 10th WAFCON had raised dust on the pattern the duo used to switched their nationality.
They alleged that the approach used in switching nationalities by both players were faulty and marred by irregularities.
Checks revealed that , Plumptre got th nod from FIFA to play for Nigeria in 2021 , following confirmations that that her paternal grandfather is a Nigerian.
Alozie was born in the USA to immigrant parents from Nigeria.
Nigeria last Saturday won 3-2 .
