Nigerian football coach gets two years ban for alleged involvement in match fixing
The gaffer of May Frank football club of Calabar, Udeme Alloy Ulor has been handed a two year ban for an alleged involvement in an Nationwide League One, NLO match fixing.
Cross Rivers state Football Association, CRSFA in a letter with Ref : 6B / Vol.1/88 dated 19th June, 2025 conveyed the ban notice to Coach Udeme Alloy Ulor
The letter said “sequel to the alleged information of match fixing and match manipulation against coach UDEME ALLOY ULOR of May Frank FC Calabar.The Organizing and Disciplinary committee of the State Football Association carried out an investigation and findings on the above matter and concluded that
“The NLO league match between May Frank FC and Cynosure FC actually took place at the UJ ESUENE STADIUM on Monday, 6th May 2025.
“That, it was confirmed that there was a phone conversation between Coach Alloy of May and Frank FC of Calabar and chairman of Cynosure FC (Prince Chidiebere Nweze) of Abakaliki on match manipulation and match fixing in the match involving both teams.
The O and D committee chaired by Greg Abang stated that “ both Coach Alloy and chairman of Cynosure FC actually discussed how to influence the outcome of the said match. That an audio tape was played on the conversation between both officials for the hearing of the coach, with his voice being clearly heard.
The ban notice further said “That Coach Alloy UDEME of May Frank FC admitted to the audio conversation between him and Chairman of Cynosure FC.
“The Committee decided .That UDEME ALLOY ULOR breached the rules and regulations of CRSFA, NLO,NFF, and FIFA on match manipulation and match fixing. Subsequently, he is hereby ban for 2years from all football activities in the state and
beyond for breaching the regulations of CRSFA and NLO”
