Methodist High School Owo set to host J F.Ayeleso Inter Class football grand finale
The MHSO Sports Committee, under the umbrella of the Methodist High School Owo Old Students Association (METHSOOSA), is set to host the grand finale of the J.F. Ayeleso Inter-Class Football Competition as part of the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of Methodist High School, Owo.
The event will take place on Day 5 of the anniversary, featuring exciting football matches, special recognitions, and the unveiling of new sports materials.
The occasion will be graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the Special Guest of Honour, former Green Eagles player,.Dr. Felix Owolabi (MON, JP)who will kick off the final matches, assisted by notable personalities such as Zion Ogunfeyimi, Barrister Ola Mafo (former Commissioner in Ondo State), and Abdul-Gafar Oladimeji( a c. The highlight of the event includes the unveiling of sports medals, new customized jerseys, trophies, and the MHSO Sports Committee’s newsletter.
The event will also witness the inauguration of the Owo Local Government chapter of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) by the state chairman, Mr. Yomi Ogunlade. Additionally, the school football team will pay homage to Dr. Felix Owolabi in their newly unveiled jerseys.
Winners of the boys’ and girls’ football competitions will be awarded trophies and medals, while outstanding players will receive special recognition. The event will conclude with remarks from METHSOOSA President, comments from MHSO Sports Committee Advisers, and a vote of thanks by Chief Kasali Obanoyen.
