NRA mourns Late Sani Zubairu, Mejuobi ,others attends fidda’u prayers in Bauchi

The National Deputy President of the Nigeria (Football) Referees Association, NRA , Kelechi Mejuobi led the national executives of the association to attend the fidda’u prayer of the late NRA National president , Sani Zubairu.
It would be recalled that , Sani Zubairu passed way last Monday at his residence in Bauchi metropolis.
Mejuobi described late Sani Zubairu as an exemplary leader , who led the whistle members in the country without an iota of tribalism or religious sentiment.
He said members of the association from across the country were sent into rude shock, when they received the unpleasant news
He disclosed that , the association would immortalized late Sani Zubairu, in recognition of his services to the development of football and the nation at large.
He added that the sacrifices made by the late NRA boss would not be left to fade away without been accorded the honour and recognition that the deceased so deserved.
In his words at the prayers, Mejuobi said “ Let me tell you from the bottom of my heart , I am missing Sani Zubairu at this material time, it is not just for you as his family or household, is for all of us , we the members of the whistle and the football family in the country.
He said, the late president has left an vacum in the leadership of the Association that would be difficult to fill .
He added that , the deceased was renown for his kindness, patience, honesty, dedication and above all he was a God fearing leader.
Mejuobi assured that the national body of the association would continue to relate with the family of the deceased.
Saying “ We are here in Bauchi state at the residence of our Boss, our mentor and our leader, late Zubairu,.” to condole his family, government and good people of Bauchi state,
Responding on behalf of the family , the sibling of the deceased , Wada Umar Sani thanked NRA leadership and its members , the NFF executives under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau MON, the entire football family and entire football fraternity , those who paid them condolences visits and those who called to sympathize with the family .
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of late Sani Zubairu, praying to Almighty Allah to forgive his short comings and grant Jannatil Firdaus to be his final abode.
Football dignitaries that attended the special prayer session includes former president of the assassination Ahmad Maude Zaria, board member Barau football club of Kano, Muktar Ahmad Zico amongst others.
