Over 100 lawyers trade tackles. As lawyers football league kicks off in Kano

The maiden edition of the Kano lawyers soccer league jointly organize by the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA Kano and Ungogo branches has kicked off.
Our correspondent gathered that the soccer fiesta for the men in wig is been sponsored by Kano state government.
Aztec football arena located along Ibrahim Dabo road has been designated to play host to the matches scheduled to feature over 100 legal practitioners drawn from the public and private bar.
The teams on parade are , Attorney General Chambers, Nureini Jimoh chambers, Aminu A Gadanya & CO, other s are Ibrahim Garba Waru & CO and Prime Alliance law firm amongst others..
According to the Local Organizing Committee, LOC, teams registration had ended on 25th June 2025, the LOC said “ from court battles to the battle for the cup, Kano’s finest legal minds. One ball. One league. One legacy.
The league powered by Kano Lawyers League said “THIS IS NOT JUST A GAME ….THIS IS HISTORY IN MOTION.A Call to the Bold. The Brave. The Bar. The courtroom has shaped us. Now, the pitch will unite us.”
The LOC further said “ it is 5–7 Aside Football Tournament. Strictly for Legal Practitioners (Private & Public Bar)Max 10 Players + 2 Officials. Trophies & Glory Await: Winner – ₦200,000.Runner-Up – ₦100,000 Best Player | Goalkeeper | Coach | Team.”
