Nigeria’s largest sports fiesta flags off today in Abeokuta
The Nigerian National Sports Festival, NSF would be formally flagged off , today 19th May in Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun state. South west Nigeria.
The fiesta is a biennial multi-sport event organized by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Sports Commission for athletes from the 36 States of Nigeria, including the FCT.
The 2025 edition of the games is tagged ‘Gateway Games’ 2024.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that , the Director General, National Sports Commission, Bukola Olopade, made the disclosure that 23 states have arrived the host city.
The DG on Saturday was quoted saying that “Twenty-three states are already in the camp; their feeding and welfare are top-notch and seamless.
Adding that “Globally, if you have an event of this nature, the first thing is accommodation and feeding,” .
